I am pleased to offer my 6-lesson summer piano introductory trial course!
This 6 weekly or biweekly lesson program is a great way for the curious beginner to be introduced to the basics of Music Theory and playing the Piano.
Please note that there is no obligation to continue as this program is designed to introduce and see if piano instruction is a good fit for your child.
Through games and keyboard instruction, students will learn basic music theory and piano technique. In addition, they will explore the piano/keyboard, create musical stories, participate in fun theory exercises including learning notation through interactive note recognition games and counting simple rhythm patterns.
This will provide an excellent transition to continuing piano instruction during the school year by preparing the student with the necessary building blocks.
Please note participation in the Summer Piano Introductory Course does not guarantee a lesson slot in the fall.
Course Information
6 private piano lessons
Biweekly lessons also possible to fit vacation and camp schedules
15 minute lessons for students 5-6 years old (flexible days/times)
30 minute lessons for students 7+ (flexible days/times)
$200 - 15 minute lessons including piano books, materials and 3 mile radius travel fee
$375 - 30 minute ONLINE lessons including piano books, materials and an in-person meet and greet at your home.
(For students 7+ only)
$400 - 30 minute lessons including piano books, materials and 3 mile radius travel fee
$25 discount for Family members
POLICIES
WHO CAN ENROLL? Anyone 5 and older who wants to discover the wonders of playing the piano.
FALL CONTINUATION: Students participating in the trial are automatically eligible for the fall wait list. Though fall placement is usually not a problem, fall placement in a full-time, regular, weekly slot is not guaranteed.
MINIMUM AGE: Students must be a minimum of 5 years of age. There is no maximum age.
WHERE DO LESSONS TAKE PLACE? Lessons will be done in your home (within 3 mile radius of Watertown Square) or through an online format.
REQUIRED MATERIALS: Participants must have a recently tuned home piano or keyboard with at least 76 weighted keys (with adequate seating and music stand)
SCHEDULING: Summer trial students receive 6 Lessons from June 16 through August 15, 2025 scheduled around your vacation/ availability (they do not have to all be consecutive, and students may do two lessons per week where needed / if desired). We will mark vacations/ summer absences in advance on our calendar.
PAYMENT: Prepayment of 1/2 program tuition for six 30 minute private lessons is due on first lesson date of the trial and the remaining 1/2 is due on the 4th lesson date of the trial.
REGISTRATION: Registration is online

STUDIO CANCELLATION: Should I need to cancel one or more of your lessons, a make-up or refund will be offered.
WITHDRAWAL: Because this is a special summer deal, no refunds or partial refunds will be given to students who do not attend all six lessons. However, scheduled lessons may be rescheduled with 24 hours' written notice by email or text and subject to the teacher's availability.
